Pod Operations Lead (POL)
The Pod Operations Lead, or POL, is the senior operator who runs a PodFleet Pod end-to-end and serves as the client's single point of contact. The POL is accountable for every Pod output, every SOP, every replacement decision, and the weekly metrics review.
Also called: POL, Pod Lead
Full definition
What this means at PodFleet.
The POL is the structural reason PodFleet can sell the operation itself rather than seats. With one senior operator owning the Pod, the client never manages specialists directly, never sees the hiring or firing process, and never holds an HR relationship with pod members. The POL absorbs all of that.
POLs work in the client's primary timezone with Americas-based POLs for North American clients. The POL leads daily standups, owns QA, drives the Pod Trial week-by-week (onboarding, handover, full load, decision), and presents the retainer proposal at week 4. After retainer signature, the POL runs weekly metrics reviews and quarterly scope conversations.
When to use this term
Always introduce as 'Pod Operations Lead (POL)' on first use of a page, then use 'POL' thereafter. POL is a proprietary PodFleet role title, capitalize consistently.
